I know many of you are tired of seeing my mug on this blog, but I wanted to thank American Vogue for featuring me on their “Most Wanted” list.

Click here to read my favourite things from 1 to 10.

I’m still waiting for the main picture from the shoot so I can tell you all about my Vogue adventure, but here is one of the 5 looks I had from the shoot.

I was wearing a asymmetrical white Tommy Hilfiger dress, with Kaufman Franco pants and a Rick Owens jacket.

Thanks to Michelle for the heads up.

** Thanks for all your nice comments xx

Alexander Wang vs. Topshop

One dress is strapless and one is asymmetrical, but that doesn’t stop the glaring similarities between the Alexander Wang fitted combo dress, and the Topshop colour block dress.

Topshop are well known, for being ‘inspired’ by the runway, so this is really no surprise to me.

Alexander Wang is a model favourite, so it’s no surprise that Arlenis Sosa wore this dress to an event. Diane Kruger and Lindsay Lohan followed, with Diane being the only one brave enough to wear this dress without a blazer.

Shopbop have this dress for $795, or you can buy the Topshop dress, for a only £18.

Marchesa Spring 2010

I’m literally running to catch my flight back to London, but I just had to bring you the Marchesa Spring 2010 collection before I left.

The Marchesa Spring 2010 collection softly embraces the drama and romance of Madame Butterfly.

As you would expect gowns galore, the next more stunning and more extravagant than the previous.

I walked around the Chelsea Art Museum muttering ‘stunning’ as I viewed each piece.

The colour palette was mostly black and white, with mint green, ivory and lilac pieces also presented.

Many pieces had exquisite beaded and embroidered detail, whilst others had corsages, ruffled bodices, tulle skirts, flared skirts, real illusion panels – not the ice-skater kind – and draped sleeves.

It wasn’t only gowns that were presented.

There was also an embroidered obi jacket paired with black shorts, and cute little cocktail dresses.

Here are some of the detail shots I took. They include hand-painted tights, feathered eye-lashes plus shoes and booties by Christian Louboutin.

The clutches are from Marchesa’s debut accessories collection.

Celebrities who attended the show were Blake Lively, and Becki Newton.

It was the perfect way to end Fashion Week.

See you on the other side.

Who Knew? Paz De La Huerta Isn’t Afraid Of A Little Nudity

“Being young, you don’t have this self-awareness,” Paz de la Huerta said last night. “It’s like when you see children running around naked. It’s completely freeing.” In that case, she may be the freest girl around. De la Huerta has been photographed naked before, but never more so than in her latest project: She’s teamed up with lensman James Macari (above, with de la Huerta) and creative director Rachael Bergstein for No. 3, an exhibition of Macari’s photos of the actress in various country locales (windy fields, sun-baked porches, forlorn beaches), almost always in the altogether. Salman Rushdie, Ellen von Unwerth, and Erin Heatherton were three of the spectators who dropped by the opening at Milk Studios last night to take in every freckle, goose bump, and beauty mark. The collaboration might have had some actresses screaming for a body double, but Paz embraced her role. “Working with James and Rachael felt safe for me. The way in which they both directed me was not unlike playing a role in a film,” she explained. The shots manage a tricky balance between innocence and eroticism, but some lurkers seemed to feel the pull of one pole more than the other. One leering gentleman—no, not Rushdie—approached Paz to ask, “Are you one of the models in this exhibit?” He pointed to a seductive nude shot. “I’m a photographer, you know.”

The Latest Visitor To Saint-Tropez, Young London Takes On The Track Jacket, And More…

First Chanel, then Louis Vuitton, now Lanvin—the rush to Saint-Tropez continues. Elbaz and co. are the latest to open a shop in St.-T, and they’ve got other plans too—including a refurbished Web site and the new Fall campaigns, like the Meisel-shot womenswear ads starring Magdalena Frackowiak, Anja Rubik, and Mariacarla Boscono (pictured). [WWD]The World Cup commentator you’ve gotta read is…Hilary Alexander?! Turns out the Telegraph’s fashion critic has a healthy extracurricular interest in footer—and she’s been live-tweeting games at @hilaryalexander. [Fashionista]It’s a good time to be a young designer in London. Nike is the latest brand to collaborate with emerging designers, giving Katie Eary, SIBLING, Julian J Smith, Tim Soar, Felder Felder, and Hannah Marshall free reign to rejigger the N98 track jacket. The results, predictably, are loud. [Vogue U.K.]And bad news for NYC shoppers: As of Saturday, all of Manhattan’s Apple stores are sold out of iPhone 4s. If you want one, you’ll just have to…oh, yeah, order online. Why wasn’t everyone doing this in the first place? [Racked]

Your Road Trip With Margherita Missoni

You bring the gas money; she’ll bring the iPod, a bottle of Brunello, her Eres swimsuit, and, of course, a few pieces of Missoni. That, at least, is what you could take away from Mini’s event yesterday at Milan’s Salone del Mobile furniture fair. The automaker asked Margherita (pictured, right), along with a few other style notables, to pack the trunk of its Mini Countryman for a quick weekend away, and displayed the results to the design-mad festival attendees. In addition to the stuff above, Missoni chose a Borsalino straw hat, a pair of Hunter wellies, some books, DVDs, and “vintage crockery.” (She went with a picnic theme.) Delfina Delettrez Fendi (left), for her part, went with her badminton racquet, a butterfly net, Richard Nicoll gingham shorts, a portable telescope, a few pieces from Fendi Casa, and her Baguette. You can take the girl out of the city, but…

9th Annual Spring Dinner Dance New Year’s In April: A Fool’s Fete

Many more supermodels joined Coco Rocha and Crystal Renn on the red carpet for the 9th Annual Spring Dinner Dance New Year’s In April: A Fool’s Fete, hosted by New Yorkers for Children, which raised over $580,000 last night.

Doutzen Kroes: The model was surprisingly one of the few who opted out of wearing a gown to don a Rachel Roy ensemble. A purple keyhole top with an open back and a black leather cummerbund was teamed with super long flared pants. An Alaia perforated leather clutch completed her look.

Jessica White: The Maybelline model did an ‘Angelina’ by making sure we all got a look at her leg via the split in her Diane von Furstenberg sequin wrap gown. She teamed her raspberry gown with a Diane von Furstenberg ‘Tonda’ crystal clutch and cream peep-toes.

Selita Ebanks: I’m really not feeling Selita in this silver embellished gown. It looks like something Mariah Carey would wear. Basically it feels dated. The red clutch does nothing to improve this look.

Erin Heatherton: The model is the third person to wear a Carolina Herrera dress in the last 24 hours following Emily Blunt and Ashley Judd. Her Spring 2012 canary yellow, greige and taupe dot print silk chiffon gown with silver and black beaded embroidery was simply styled with black strappy sandals. It’s so good to see a Victoria’s Secret model wearing something other than a bandage dress.

From Buckingham Palace To The Empire State

Fresh off an audience with Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace, Peter Pilotto, Todd Lynn, Mark Fast, and other London up-and-comers are in New York this week showing off their Fall wares. The designers are squired away in the penthouse of the Soho Grand from now until Thursday afternoon, but a few arrived in time to enjoy the sunny weekend weather. Louise Gray hit the Chelsea flea market with Ed Meadham and Ben Kirchhoff, where she scooped up piles of Guatemalan textiles and Meadham bought lots of little dolls. A few tiny porcelain arms were strung on his leather cord necklace, and it’s not a stretch to imagine them showing up one way or another at the duo’s next show. These are the men, after all, whose orders went way up after their Christmas ornament-inspired collection hit the runway. (In case you were wondering, Ikram Goldman bought the pipe cleaner tiaras.) Other designers are sticking around this weekend. Holly Fulton, for her part, is planning a trip to the Empire State Building, a fitting destination for a talent whose breakout Spring show featured prints and embroideries of Art Deco-style buildings not unlike the New York landmark. Her main goal, however, is finding a U.S. store to stock her distinctive new bejeweled snakeskin shift dresses (pictured), which take their inspiration from the Parisian stained glass artist Louis Barillet. Are you listening, retailers?

A collection of sultry models will bring the designs favoured by Catherine Middleton and Sienna Miller to life at the 2011 Brisbane Fashion Festival, with Miller’s own eponymous collection joining Daniella Helayel’s Issa label, beloved by Middleton, on the runway.

It’s the first year the London designer, whose navy warp dress was an instant hit when worn by the Duchess of Cambridge during her engagement announcement, has been shown at the annual event.

But organisers have otherwise included a range of familiar names, both from Brisbane and elsewhere in Australia, in the sixth festival that returns to South Bank later this year.

Advertisement: Story continues below

Kicking off with three big-name group shows on Saturday August 20, the seven day festival will show new season looks from the likes of Akira, Easton Pearson, Scanlan & Theodore, Diane von Furstenberg and Paul Hunt.

There is also room for department store intrigue thanks to the inclusion of a special off-site lunch featuring Spring/Summer looks from Sass + Bide hosted by Myer, who famously bought the Brisbane born label off rival retailer David Jones for $42.25 million earlier this year.

At $95, tickets to this event are among the most expensive in the festival program, with entry to most events ranging from $30 to $46 in price.

The man behind the $800,000 festival, director Lindsay Bennett, said he expected the sell-outs of last year to be repeated.

“Due to the success of last year’s sales, the people of Queensland have demonstrated they want to see great fashion, in a great atmosphere and I have no doubt that tickets will again be in demand,” he said.

“We are now the premier fashion festival showcasing spring/summer collections to the rest of the country and we are committed to supporting the industry, especially after the recent floods.”

Treasurer Andrew Fraser said Queensland’s $3.4 billion creative industries benefited from the “hallmark event”.

“Queensland has produced many outstanding designers who have been very successful at making a name for themselves on the international stage,” he said.

There are several shows rich in local talent this year, thanks to the inclusion of Brisbane stalwarts Gina Kim, Daniel Alexander Couture, Tengdhal, Nelson Molloy and Sacha Drake.

Accompanying the runway program are several ‘Fashion after hours’ discussion events held at the State Library of Queensland, and an exhibition based on the book Dreaming of Chanel by Charlotte Smith, the curator of Australia’s largest private collection of vintage clothing and accessories.

The exhibition is titled Dreaming of Chanel, and it will be hosted at the QUT Art Museum, Gardens Point.

Tickets to the Brisbane Fashion Festival are available through QTIX on 136 246 or online at www.qtix.com.au, with $1 from every ticket sold this year to AEIOU.

So In Love

“The best design,” Cartier’s director of image, style, and heritage, Pierre Rainero, said last night at dinner at the Lion in New York, “requires no explanation.” That’s the beauty of the brand’s Love collection, which was founded in the seventies by designer Aldo Cipullo’s now-iconic Love Bracelet. Its closure system is legendary: A tiny screw affixes it semi-permanently onto the wrist, only to be removed by the included screwdriver. According to Rainero, around the time of its debut, salespeople encouraged couples to buy them in pairs and toss away the key, as it were, making a commitment to love for life. (They were also instructed to avoid selling them to singletons, at least those who weren’t buying them as gifts for significant others.)For the latest edition of the Love collection (in Cartier stores and online today), however, not all of the pieces are so permanent. Pendant earrings in white gold and diamonds, drop necklaces, and sapphire-and-amethyst-crusted rings round out the offerings. But Love will always be known for its bracelets, and its newest is a stylish update, not to mention a fine concession to a more contemporary view of “forever.” Love everlasting? It’s a beautiful goal. But just in case it doesn’t work out, the pink gold chain comes with an easy-to-open lobster-claw clasp.
